The Human Aquarium is multi-phase arts project looking at the world through the lens of a sea mammal.
What does it feel like to live in a tank ? And what effects are micro-plastics for marine life…or for humans?
Whether it’s purchasing a disposable bottle of water or a ticket to a marine park, do we really know how our choices affect the planet?
Do we really know what we are buying into?
The substitution of perforMERs for dolphins and orcas aims to humanise the lens we see the ocean world through and connect us to it despite our physical distance in land locked cities like leeds.
The first stage of the project is the Human Aquarium Exhibition that runs from 16th-28th February in Leeds. Here you can begin to consider these questions – what does all this mean to you and what do you want to do about it?
We are planning more events in 2019 and 2020. Do get in touch if you would like to get involved.
