The Refilling Station – zero waste pop up shop based in Chapel Allerton. Open Fridays and Saturdays. Address: 2 Stainbeck Lane, Leeds LS7 3QY
Repair cafe– aim to repair digital and electronic equipment. Address: Bridge St, Leeds LS2 7QZ, UK. There are a number of repair cafes through the city of Leeds.
RERF – Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility designed to remove and sort recyclables before the combustion process. This state-of-the-art technology is a safe and efficient way of treating residual black bin waste. When all the recyclables have been removed the remaining waste is burnt in carefully controlled conditions. The heat from the combustion process is used to turn water into steam. The steam then powers a turbine to generate around 13MW of electricity for export to the National Grid. This is enough to power in the region of 22,000 homes.

World Cetacean Alliance With the help of 100 world wide partners (one of which is Yorkshire Life Aquatic & our Human Aquarium project, the World Cetacean Alliance, based in Brighton, England, research, protect, sustain and build capacity for cetaceans worldwide.
Zero Carbon Yorkshire support people, groups and organisations in the region to reduce their carbon footprints. They bring together Yorkshire communities to contribute to creating a roadmap so the county can work together towards zero carbon in a socially and economically just way.
