Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to explore a post-apocalyptic world through art with local eco-artist Edek Thompson.
Explore techniques such as tracing, sketching, painting and collage to make your own mashed up and mutated, specifically adapted mythical creatures! All with sustainability and climate action in mind. With Edek’s guidance, you will create your own post apocalyptic warrior guardian to protect you in a climate-ravaged future.
All materials will be provided, but if you have any particular bits from your recycling, images or photos, or other materials such as pens, pencils or old sample pots of emulsion that you would like to experiment with, please bring them along.
No previous art experience necessary.

About the artist: Edek envisions a future shaped by climate change, where survival hinges on peculiar adaptations and underwater existence becomes the norm. Edek’s artistic practice is rooted in sustainability and accessibility, reflecting a strong commitment to the environment. He breathes new life into discarded materials, rescuing forgotten household emulsions, salvaging construction site boards, and repurposing discarded vinyl from sign shops.
